This weekend we went up to Scott's Uncle Bobby's cabin. The boys love it there. They spend the weekend riding 4wheelers, fishing, shooting and riding in the back of Scotts truck and spotting wildlife. Here they are on the deck of the cabin. Check out the view!

Here they are fishing at the pond. Cade caught 4 fish. Braeden reeled in 3. They were bass fish.

Cade tucking in to his catch of the day :)

Riding in the back of the truck.
While out on our travels we let Holly run. She loves being off leash and tracking smells on the dirt roads. However she started to tire so we stopped for Scott to throw her into the bed of the truck when in front of the truck, just about 50 yards, ran a huge bear. Those things just move and it took off up the hill not stopping for a photo opportunity. Sure was glad we had stopped to put Holly back in the truck or she would definitely have run right into it's path!!!!
We also saw a snake. Thinking it was a rattle snake Scott ran and skid over it with the truck. I guess that's what you are meant to do, but not knowing this I was not braced for the procedure, and was not seat belted so ended up being smooshed against the front windscreen. Not a good look ;)

What a great view at the top of the road, but unfortunately the iPad camera was a little thrown off by the bright sunshine and you are unable to see Mount Shasta in the background, so you will just have to take it from me what a fabulous view it was.

On the ride back we were surrounded by cattle, but the boys by this time were passed out, so missed this. Cade was in such a deep sleep he was actually face down in the bed of the truck. He has been doing a lot more sleeping recently....think he is hitting another growth spurt

And this was Holly when we got back. She did not lift her head for the rest of the evening.
Before we left the cabin today Cade went to collect some eggs to take home. This is one of his favorite things to do while we are at Bobby's. He will get up in the morning, jump on his 4 wheeler and go collect eggs for breakfast. He even lifts the chickens up to check underneath them!
I had a couple of videos to show but it says I have to do it through you tube to download and I don't know how I feel about that. Let me know if you have experience of that, can you make them for private showing only or remove easily right after I transfer them to my blog? Answers via your blogs please :)
A very fun weekend. Hope everyone else had a great weekend and I await Kellys blog posting of photos from her celebration ;) sorry I couldn't FaceTime you sis......hopefully later on in the week.
Love to all
Lucy xxxx
