This is my wee garden. We have planted brussel sprouts,broccolli, acorn squash, string beans, lettuces, tomatoes, cilantro, basil, onions, garlic,celery, cucumbers and peppers. Oh and purple potatoes. The marigolds at the front are to keep the bugs at bay. Wish us luck :-)

This is Scott and Bill putting in our new pool. They also constructed a deck for the kids to jump off. The dirt area will someday be decked or bricked for us to have our wee campfire to roast marshmallows. The dirt will do just fine for now.

So Mum, Dad....dont you want to make a quick jump over for mid summer??? If you land in the US on a thurs or frid then I can come pick you up from San Francisco or Seattle. You too Kelly, Gary and Carole, Ross, Lorna :-) xxxxx

Not much to report here so will tell you about dinner tonight. Pre dinner drinks were real lemonade for the kids and spiked lemonade for us grown ups :-) I had bought a watermelon that was not as tasty as hoped so cubed it and put them in the freezer....very beautiful and flavourful ice cubes!! And topped with marachino cherries!! Am I tempting you Mum?? Then dinner...I took mums recipe for mustard and maple syrup pork, and used that as a marinade for salmon. Scott bar b qued it and we served it with cous cous and peppers.....delicious!! I highly recommend that you try it.

Weekend is over...I'm off to get my chicklets to bed then will probably hit the sack myself.

Big week for Kelly....she turns 31. I have asked dad for her address but to no avail therefore I appeal to the birthday girl herself....please send me your address....I know your card will be late....but its just sitting here waiting for an address label.

Right I'm off....just finished speaking to my running partner, Kambria, to make our training plans for the week.She was gone this weekend. Ran 4 miles today with Holly in a half hour :-) So I'm feeling good and planning to do the longest night 5k/10Krun in Medford as my next challenge....

Braeden is 6!!!!

Can you believe it?? 6....how did that happen already!! I'm not going to write much as I am truly exhausted and it all sounds very quiet through the house even though both boys have a sleepover buddy. So we have trully tired them out, and therefore I will take advantage and get to bed myself too. So just a couple of pics. This is Cade who as a birthday tribute played along to Happy Birthday with his guitar. He has been practicing all week. It was lovely!

This is the cake. Chocolate with cherry filling. Braeden was insistent on it, even though I tried to convince him to have raspberry instead. Well he turned round mid cake and said "next year not cherry. Its not so good" :-) so leftovers tomorrow I will scrape out the cherries. We cant let the cake go to waste now can we!!

And here is the birthday boy. Kitted out in camo. Aunt Cindy sent him this outfit and he was thrilled. Dont think I'm going to get it off him for days!!!! And he is in between his favourite play buddies. Cousin Davis on Braedens left, and best friend Gatlin on his right.

It was a great day...and now I'm off to crash. Night all
