Well Hello everyone. I am sitting here at work writing this blog as I am having an unusually slow day, but cannot leave as I have to wait for my last patient of the day. I would blame that it is the week of Thanksgiving and the smattering of snow that has made my day of patients fall apart, but 2 patient cancellations were for medical reasons and 1 is just too complicated to tell but very frustrating for me!! So here I sit waiting for my last one, and I have done every piece of paperwork I can do to this point. So blog it is, but unfortunately without photos.
Alls well here. Football is over so no rushing back and forth from practice, thus giving Scott and I to hit the gym a little more regularly while the boys play in the youth gym downstairs. This week is thanksgiving so I am really looking foward to thanksgiving dinner at Laramies. In a couple of weeks I have a course in Portland and Scott and the boys are coming along for the hotel room, pool, some christmas shopping, and going to the Christmas tree farm. I have discovered a Polar express train ride about one hour east of Portland so will see if we can get tickets for that. Like the movie, you board the train in your pyjamas, drink hot chocolate and make your way to visit Santa. Fingers crossed there are still tickets available.
So thats it. Dad, i do remember the name bamsy mums but cant recall what they are. Please remind me. And Gary...a horse with toes. OMG where do you get all your facts from? Surely you can find a picture too :-)
Love to all

So I rested when i got home, and didnt feel too terrible, but later that evening the chest pain returned and so did the fevers. Thought I may just be doing too much so I took off for bed beside my now feverish Cade. I woke up early i the morning following the third night of ferocious night sweats and now further increase in chest pain and for some reason the phrase "rheumatic fever" was in my head. Cade and I headed to the Doctors for it opening and we were examined
The doctor took a swab of our throats, said cade had an inflamed throat and I had bronchitis and that he was sending samples off to lab, but here was a 10 day dose of penicillin to get started with. Once labs returned we learned the culprit was the sreptococci bacteria and we absolutely must finish the penicillin and throw out our toothbrushes and get new.
So what is rheumatic fever? that is a more serious illness caused by the strep bacteria and if left untreated an weaken the heart. Was I getting little messages from someone/somewhere? We will never know, but if I hadnt woken up with that strange phrase in my head I would not have gone to the doctors that day. It was just as well I did as the chest pain worsened significantly on the monday, and with each dose of the penicillin I took I got progressively better.
I love that penicillin was invented. What a wonder drug. I am back to work, energy levels improving and hope to feel up to a run this weekend.
And speaking of this weekend, 9 am saturday Cades team plays in the final. If we win we get to go play at Autzen (college football stadium) again :-) Wish us luck xxxxx
Right I'm off. Got to retrieve my baked macaroni cheese. After not really eating for 5 days, I now cant stop :-)
Love to all
