Look Dad....I'm updating daily to give you something to read while you lay there resting and recovering. Did think, though, that you would've updated yours by now to give us all the lowdown on your experience...hope all is well with you.

Well today we had the first of Cades birthday parties. This one with Scotts family. By now I'm sure you all know that the birthday dinner request from cade was Haggis, so I made chicken Rob Roy, and it was very well received. Well done Lesinas and Michels :-) You are now inducted into Scottish cuisine :-) And Mum, the birthday cake was fantastic. Chocolate cake with fudge filling and vanilla whip icing was an excellent choice by cade. You would've loved it.

So we are all bloated and all 3 boys in bed. The girls (Holly and I) took a quick run but my tum tum was not for going too far ;-0

Tomorrow it is off to the lake for another day of knee boarding. Despite Scott having to be in Medford for 4pm for a coaches meeting, he really wants to get some laketime in.So its up and out prompt in the morning. Will I get up early enough to take Holly for a run before we go?? Here she is "Santas Little Helper"
Have a good sunday everyone.

So this is Kambria, my running partner. We had a great workout this morning. So good, that our tag along Holly was absolutely pooped and I had to encourage her to pick up her pace. Finally so fatigued that she didnt chew anything all day :-)

Kambria has nicknamed my adoreable little pooch " Santas Little Helper" after the dog from the Simpsons. What do u think? This photo was from a couple of moths ago but she looks about the same, just a wee bit bigger. I think Kambria has a point. There are some strong resemblances to "Santas Little Helper"
Was going to write more but boys are in the pool with Jacob (Kambrias son who is staying over tonight), and Scott has moved on from mowing the backyard to mowing the front so I better get out there to supervise. You know how wild these boys can get!
Love to all....especially the recovering patient :-)

Boys with their new haircuts...willl elaborate on that story after my run :-)

These pictures put here to make my dad laugh. Think I may have worried him slightly with my nagging of take it easy after the angiogram and pack an overnight bag just in case. Sorry Dad....but if you prepare for having to stay/having to take it easy these things wont happen and that would be a nice surprise v's you planning to run and skip out of there and straight to your activities and then perhaps find you are not as able as you would like. That would be frustrating!!

So here we have my cherubs. Fell asleep while I was on the phone to mum and dad today. They were at a friends for a sleep over last night, after a day of fundraising for 2 hours in the 100 degree temp, then swimming and trampolining for the remainder of the day. Turns out they didnt got to sleep til 1230, then awoke at 530. So I fed them comfort food and then this is what I found as i investigated the unusual silence. Aren't they sweet?

So I will go and finish my laundry. Then tonight get to go out for dinner with my sweet husband of 9 years. Its our anniversary today :-) I think this photo was taken at a wedding about a year after ours.
Hope alls well with everyone

"A sterile dressing will be placed on the groin area to prevent infection. You will need to lay flat and keep the leg straight for two to six hours to prevent bleeding. Your head can not be raised more than two pillows high (about 30 degrees). Do not raise your head off the pillows, as this can cause strain in your abdomen and groin. Do not try to sit or stand. The nurse will check your bandage regularly, but tell your nurse if you think you are bleeding (have a wet, warm sensation) or if your toes begin to tingle or feel numb. You may receive medication to relieve discomfort in the groin area after the anesthetic wears off. "

This is taken from info at work for patients going through angiogram. Why have a put this on my blog? Because I read dad's hillwalking blog that said he might make it on his hillwalk scheduled the weekend that he has his angiogram on the friday. No Dad....you are not going. That is Dr Lucy's orders!!!! And Shari backs me up. She had an angiogram 2 years ago and she says to tell you "you are not doing anything that weekend" I will tell you more about the procedure when i speak to you on the phone, but just wanted to stop you in your tracks re your crazy planning for the weekend after a major procedure!! have I made my point?!?!?

OK, I'm done. Actually at work so better get on with my job :-)

This is the life!!!
Summer is here and its all about boating and camping. Last weekend we were boating at Galesville reservoir both days of the weekend, and this weekend we camped up there too with friends of ours.
What a fantastic weekend. Their 4 kids and our 2 get along so well. If we werent on the boat, we were on floaties on the lake sipping a nice wee drink. Or up at camp playing badminton, or sitting at the campfire roasting marshmallows. It was great!!

Not much else to say. hope everyone else had a lovely weekend. Congratulations to Kelly for her race. i am impressed!
Off to bed now. Pretty exhausted now :-)

Other than Dad, the blogs are quieter than I would like. I'm assuming Garys is quiet due to him busily organising the cake and kilts!! Gary, you have got to get your wedding responsibilities done before I get there in October. You have promised me a birthday drink (so you said on your birthday card to me in may) and I am also reciprocating that to you for your birthday....so you cant be still have to do wedding stuff when I arrive....we have some partying to do then!!!!!

So whats new? Well we went to the lake today but the boat cut out and we had to be towed back to shore by a friendly fisherman. It was still a fun day though, and the boys had a blast swimming in the lake as we sat on the shore. We have had cousin Landen here since wed night. The boys just enjoy him so much....and he is soooo good....seriously I could just keep him!

Its been so busy since Cade came home and i guess I havent yet blogged about his time at camp and Braedens time at Grandmas.Cade had the time of his life again at fooball camp, and Scott came home to hear that he is going to have to take on part responsibility for heading up the coaching of Cades football team this season!! fun times ahead!!!! And Braeden enjoyed some Crescent City time. As much as I am glad to have them both home I did enjoy some quiet time. The house stayed tidy for 3 days without me having to do anything, and as much as I had planned to run, I actually chose to snuggle up with Holly and watch chic flicks instead :-)

So thats it. Im' off to bed! the second rum and ginger ale with lime has kicked in and I'm ready for a good nights sleep!!

Night all

Happy Belated birthday to Gary. thanks to the convenience of E cards, I hope his card arrived on time, but I've let myself down badly on the blog front, missing his australian, UK and US birthdays. Still I was thinking of you on the day You OLD MAN!!!!

I dont have many photos of my Sweet Bruvvie (Bruvvie is the term Braeden uses for Cade), but I like this one....watching soccer, dog on lap.

Hope you had a great day. Can you believe how old you are?????

Aren't they precious!!! Boys love dirt!! This is how Cades face looks after driving his 4 wheeler round at camp.

With cousin Davis. How do you like Davis's Scotland t shirt. Hand me downs are great for camping!!!

And look at this precious wee Darling, Lincoln. Much cleaner than his brother and cousins!!!

Well my photos of my garden on the previous blog entry did not stick to the layout I had set so my right/left explanations were null and void!!Sorry. But i think you can all still follow along, right?
So there you have it. A quick catch up after my 2 week absence from blogging but thats because I was gone camping, then once home back to work and having to organise cade and Scott for the Football camp in Portland that they left for sat at 8 am. Wont see them again until late wed night :-( And double sad face, as after dinner tonight, Braeden will be heading off to stay with Grandma for the 3 days I'm working. So sad face for me but Braeden will have a great time at camp Grandmas!! So what will I do with no wee family to look after? Work, exercise puppy, and run :-) No excuses to have to get back for the kids so I plan to push miles and pace this week. Also dinner plan with a friend, so looking foward to that.
Well thats all folks. Kelly....I got my blog done....your turn. Let me see those photos of koalas like you promised!!! (I got to speak to Kelly on skype yest :-).....works best mum if you call on the phone and do skype at the same time)
Right I'm off.
Love to all
See you Scotties in 3 months at the wedding. Gary....get the cake and kilts ordered!!!
Lucy xoxoxoxo

Welcome to my garden! All organic :-) No insecticides. To repel the bugs I planted marigolds. Supposedly their scent repels bugs and it seems to be working out. Also the garlic and onions we planted are meant to help also. Dont my romaine lettuces look good? And to the right of them the celery is beginning to grow. But to the left are my disastrous red leaf lettuces. One day they looked normal then within a few days they have sprouted with height. Dont know why, so I think they may be pulled and ditched today. The photo on the right is the beginning of a cucumber. This photo was taken 2 days ago and today when I looked its double the size. Very exciting. Cucumbers are Braedens favourite.

Here you see my bell pepper plant on the left, and a jalapeno on the right.

And here you see Broccolli, and we Holly on her way back from eating the sugar snap peas right off the plant. Must remind the kids to pick from the back.
So what do you think? Should I be doing anything other than watering them?
